Random typing...

The other night Mother Teresa (my mum) and I were at home being cool as usual, and we were searching aimlessly for a movie to watch on the good ol' dish net. After numerous attempts to get something off PPV the network wasn't having it (by numerous I mean 3 tries, and PPV stands for pay per view for all you cavemen out there). So we gave up and Mum started searching on HBO; she came across "Dream Girls."

"Have you seen Dream Girls?" she axed me. (Like the ebonics?)

"No, but I've wanted to. Why?" I replied.

"Well, it just started we can watch that."

Now previously we had our hearts set on "Hairspray," which is a musical, and Mum doesn't usual like that kind of thing, but she's been wanting to see it, but we had to settle with the other musical instead. Unlike yours truly, Mum had no idea that "Dream Girls" was a musical. I like musicals, I think they are fun; Mum on the other hand, isn't such a music junkie like me. So we get a little ways into the movie and I'm lovin' the whole conversations using song instead of sentence, mom isn't. She thought that the song that Effi White was singing went on too long, and she didn't know why they couldn't just keep it short, however she kept watching it because and I quote "this one (the musical) has a plot."

"Most musicals do have plots," I thought to myself... she obviously didn't know that because she was discriminating. So, Mum ended up liking the movie; I on the other hand loved it!!! After watching movies a lot of the time I wish life was more like a movie. How cool would that be? You could just break out into song anytime you wanted, and would anyone care? Not at all, because in movie land it's OK to express yourself through song whenever you want too.

I told my mum that I was going to start singing conversations to her, and start doing it out in public too. She thought that was a dumb idea, but I want to!

And I did, the very next day. I started singing "Eres tu" when we were in the car going to the gas station. Then we were in the gas station she told the attended lady (whom we know) that I wanted life to be a musical, I think to try to embarrass me, which did not work because I have no shame; so in return I started singing "Until You Come Back To Me" by Luther Vandross. The song goes a little somethin' like this:

Don't you remember you told me you loved me baby!

Baby, baby, baby, baby, baby, oh baby!

I love you.

Yeah... I really do.

Ya know? That song. (If not reference Tommy Boy or Superstar)

I may or may not have embarrassed her. Probably did, but she made me so this is the consequence she must face on her own.

Speaking of embarrassing relatives, my aunt Christi has stories about me she could tell you. Of course I was the one doing to embarrassing, not her. Here goes:

When I was a small child I was wild like a woodland beast. Because of my nature, the parentals used necessary forces on me. By forces I mean a leash. Well, one time my aunt had me with her in the grocery store with her. All of a sudden I got down on my hands and knees and started yelling out "Ruff! Ruff! Ruff! I WANNA BE A DOG!" Yes, ladies and gentlemen, I embarrassed the heck out of my aunty. What put the icing on the cake was I also had pig tails in, so I sort of resembled a doggy. Oh, good times, good times.

So, that was really random, but oh well. As the legendary Garth Brooks sings, "I'm shameless!" This blog really has nothing to do with anything, but I just felt like typing... So I did. The end!

Peace.

Well what a coincidenc ... i to am a random typer so glad to see i have something to respond to .. i guess. Im pretty sure there was no point in that whole " i like bad movies, i mean i like musicals in the form of so called movies" I miss the good ole music like the spin doctors, counting crows, to 3rd eye blind all the way up to blink 182... so my question is .. what happened? what happend to music ? Are people so anxious to pop out music they forgot one key ingredient.. QUALITY.. quality not quantity you so-called musicians. Magisian is right. now you see good music. now you dont. Anyway i just thought i would get that off my chest , because my former love for music has disolved to a watered down tolerance to the "music" played today. Good day sir... I said good day
