Summer is at its end and things are cooling down in Nevada-Town! It's always great to hear of a win for the NHS Tigers as football begins! Then it is also always great when the temperatures start to cool down and everyone gears up for the shopping and entertainment season in Nevada Missouri! This weekend will kick off the season with the annual Walker Fun Days, and the semi-annual City Wide Shopping Days in the area! So there will be lots to do this weekend. It all closes out on Saturday night with a special unplugged performance by Eric Lane Gulliford at the Armadillo Sound Studio on the East side of the Square in downtown Nevada. Eric will take stage at around 8 PM and perform until nearly 10 PM. As always a $5 admission charge can be paid at the door of the studios live room located at 129 N. Main on the West side of the square. Walker Fun Days will go on Friday and Saturday in the walker park. This weekend locals and friends from the surrounding area are asked to show their support to the Nevada community by stopping in at one of the area business that they have never been in before, and of course try and buy something local! This is all part of the Shopping Days that will be held Thursday, Friday, and Saturday in Nevada on September 15, 16, and 17. It's a great weekend to get out for some shopping and enjoy great entertainment locally, and as always don't forget to spend your dining dollars at one of the many great eateries in the area as well.
