Halloween Gets Howling!Posted Thursday, October 13, 2011, at 5:53 PM
Live music is up in the area so much that we have missed a few of the events going on in the area. So if you know of something that you would like to see on here please feel free to message me via Facebook at www.facebook.com/thedougharper with details or just post about it in the comments under the blog. I think we all want to see the music scene grow and more people getting out to see the music!
The Shane Moses band is set to make an appearance at the Armadillo Sound Studio on the East side of the Nevada Square at 8 PM on Saturday October 15, 2011. They are always fun to see perform with their lewd comments, extended jams, and crazy antics on stage! As with most of the bands that hail from Nevada-town they also have a rotating door for drummers. Nathan Rorabaugh the front man for Alamo Black will be banging out the beat on this specific night. As always the band showcases David "Moses" Byerly on the guitar, keyboards, and vocals; his Ft. Scott Kansas counterpart Jeremy "Shane" Wiltze is on the bass, keyboards and vocals rounding things off to make the band sound great!
Marci Mitchell will be back in town doing a fundraiser to help a man with health problems that will be held at the Eagles on Saturday October 22. Her band will accompany her for a night of entertainment that looks to bring in quite a few people. For more details on the event feel free to contact the Eagles at (417) 667-9283.
Halloween is always a great night to get out and dig on the scene; Stir Crazy will be at the American Legion on the last Saturday of the month. Then last but not least don't forget that Vikings 502 will host the Distant Kin band on Saturday October 29 for an all out Halloween party!
