Music for Sale!Posted Thursday, July 12, 2012, at 2:06 PM
Happy 4th of July! I know I'm a few days late. Better late than never right? Right! Of course it is always better to be late than never be there at all. This applys to live music events as well. We need you at the events so we are just happy to have you no matter what time you get there. So with that said hope to see you at one of these fun nights of music!
Before I get you to all the listings, I want to pass on the good news that both of the venues that were closing down in my last blog are open, one closed and is re-opening, the other just did not close! It's funny how it all happends so fast around here. The moral of this story is get out there and support local business all the way around, but the music needs you most! I don't have a store front that serves my CD's for lunch every day so you have to go buy one every once in a while or I will run out of gas too! Then I can't continue to host music events in the area. See hosting does not pay the bills. Hostong musical events is alot like a restaurant owner going down to another restaurant and cleaning the kitchen, and preping all the stuff too so the cook can cook it, and the restaurant selling it to the customer. So for all those folks out there that think it's cute to make music, it's more like a whole lot of work for little pay. The promoters, and
musicians get out there and do it with the hope that folks might buy a CD or song download every now and then to keep us operating. Well the good news is that a few folks stepped it up and bought a CD last month. I want to thank both of them! If I was a restaurant I'd be closed. It's a good thing that I make coffee at Java Den, and am the D.J. at Vikings again! I can eat for another month, and host some live music for you, as well as provide some fun!!! I expect to have an empty CD rack at Cavener's this month! Or link to buy my music here: http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?u...
