Armor All was a good soldier

I remember his face; intelligent but guileless, friendly yet aloof; reserved but loving.
He was a special ambassador for veterans across America and many people who only met him once never forgot him Armor All, a Rottweiler owned by Mick Spangler of Nevada, died in October. Of cancer, I recently learned. Although it's been more than three years since I've seen him, even longer since Armor All and his owner were featured in the Nevada Daily Mail, it saddens me that he's gone. Armor All was not really a service dog, but symbolized the dogs that served in Vietnam and other military conflicts. He served as a living mechanism by which veterans could reach out to the community, opening minds and connecting generations. Goodbye, Armor All. You served well. Thank you for such a lovely tribute to Amourall. He will be missed for a long time. He went to many schools and Moving Walls and was a big hit with the school children, as they learned about dogs in the war and how they helped save many soldiers.
