What's that falling from the sky?Posted Friday, February 3, 2012, at 3:01 PM
Wow. it's been so long since it rained that my cat didn't seem to know what was going on as she looked outside this morning.
The cat's domain is entirely indoors, but the pattering, splattering droplets were too much for her to resist and she ventured out slowly onto the uncovered deck, crouching low, into this mysterious condition. A drop landed on her in short order and she shook herself. It took only a few of these until panic set in and the ran for cover, screaming her discontent at me on her way past. Poor Miss Kitty. She must have thought the evil droplets of water had torpedoed just HER. (Miss Kitty's that way. Pretty much everything is about or happening to just HER) Even though she shares the red chair with me, we all know it's really just her chair. She's just being kind to me because...well, I don't know why, and she's never said. Meanwhile, though, I was glad to see the rain. Absence, they say, (and sometimes they're right) makes the heart grow fonder, and we've had plenty of time to grow fond of the rain. It's been absent a good long time. |
Exploring the obvious and the not so obvious in search of the oh, so elusive "something to do' that's all around us.
