A patch of irises blooming in front of a friend's house recently.
What a wonderful time of year it is. The weather is warming up. The earth is awakening from its slumber.
I enjoy being outdoors year-round, but especially when it starts getting warm.
Last week, my Beloved and I were out for a walk late in the evening. We were going around the Square and suddenly above our heads was a sound. Scared us a little bit actually. It sounded like a plastic bag being whipped through the air at incredible speed, even though there was no hint of wind.
After I got over being startled, I had to know what was causing that sound and I soon found it.
High above us, a bat was having a feast and every so often would swoop down chasing after some tasty bug. And it was the sound of the wind in his wings which we had heard.
I hope you all get out to see the world a bit while the weather is so nice. If you make any interesting pictures, I'd love to see them. Drop me a line!
