Four injured in stabbing incident on Thursday

A Thursday night squabble resulted in four of those involved suffering stab wounds. According to Vernon County Sheriff Ron Peckman two of the four were sent to Springfield with serious injuries and the other two were treated and released from the Cedar County Memorial Hospital. A Stockton man accused of setting a fire inside a Nevada woman's home was released today from the Vernon County jail on his own recognizance so he could be transferred to Stockton Court and face nine other criminal charges.
