The Hume R-7 school board met April 16 and certified the election results from Bates and Vernon Counties, which resulted in the election of Stacey Swickhamer, Kristy Brooks and Lesa Berry to three-year terms. A Stockton man accused of setting a fire inside a Nevada woman's home was released today from the Vernon County jail on his own recognizance so he could be transferred to Stockton Court and face nine other criminal charges.
