Nevada Youth Wrestling qualifies 17 for Regionals

The Nevada Youth Wrestling Club sent 18 competitors to the District 5 U.S.A. Wrestling Championships in Neosho, Mo., last weekend.

Seventeen finished in the top six to advance to the regionals at Ozark, Mo., on Saturday.

Nevada regional qualifiers are:

1st -- Sam Ellifrits, Jordan Hagerman, Spenser Daniels and Ryan Herda.

2nd -- Ronnie Herda and Jerrod Alexander.

3rd -- Slade Stiles, Todd Brier, Tommy Hagerman and Mason Heard.

4th -- Kieran Cain and Nash Smith.

5th -- Tanner Charles, Zach Shepherd and Alex Christensen.

6th -- True Beisley and Scotty Bough.
