Career choice is a tough decision for many students

Thursday, March 18, 2004
Nevada High School students will gain insight about accounting careers on March 26, when Wayne Clark, CPA, a member of the Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants, shares insights about the profession that opens doors to employment opportunities in virtually every business and organization.

Clark is a certified public accountant with Southwest Baptist University, Bolivar, Mo.

To help high school students understand the opportunities associated with accounting, the MSCPA created Lead and Enhance the Accounting Profession, an advocacy and awareness program about the CPA profession.

Volunteer CPAs serve as mentors for the profession at high schools throughout Missouri.

The MSCPA is the largest professional association dedicated to advancing CPAs in Missouri. Established in 1909, the organization provides members with continuing education and governmental advocacy, while working to further the future of the accounting profession through student-focused initiatives.
