Lady Tigers second-best in quad meet

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- The Nevada girls swim team finished with a 2-1 record at the Springfield Quadrangular on Tuesday.

Teams from Springfield Central, Springfield Kickapoo and Carthage rounded out the field.

The Lady Tigers defeated Carthage 85-61 and Central 104-41, while falling to powerhouse Kickapoo 114-65 in the dual-scoring format.

Kickapoo went undefeated, Carthage 1-2 and Central 0-3.

Diedre Stacy was the lone Nevada medalist with a victory in the 100-yard freestyle.

Jenny McCullough, Amanda Simpson, Brittany Braucher and the Lady Tigers' 400 free and 200 medley relay teams placed second.
