Thursday morning the Nevada Senior Center held its ribbon cutting outside the Neal Center, where it is located. The Neal Center is named after former Nevada City Manager Wayne Neal, who first proposed the idea. The $850,000 facility was partially paid for with $500,000 from the city's one-half cent sales tax. The balance came from a $350,000 Community Development Block Grant.
