Obituaries

Laura Ardena Darnold

Laura Ardena Darnold, 87, Nevada, died Monday, Aug. 16, 2004, at Moore-Few Care Center, Nevada. She was born May 21, 1917, in Miami, Okla., to Sherman Charles Bradley and Lottie Pearl Loafman Bradley. She was married Jan. 3, 1936, in Carthage, to Charles Leroy Darnold. He preceded her in death on Nov. 6, 1974.

Mrs. Darnold was raised in Monett, and graduated from Monett High School in 1935. She and her husband came to Nevada in 1949 and purchased Kaup's Flower Shop which became Darnold's Florists which she operated until her retirement in 1985. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Nevada, a member of the Order of Eastern Star and the White Shrine of Jerusalem. One of Mrs. Darnold's enjoyments in life was traveling.

Survivors include two daughters, Judith Kay Winton and husband Gene, Forsyth, Mo., and Linda Diane Diller, Liberty, Mo.; one son, Charles David Darnold and wife Donna, Nevada; eight grandchildren, Steve, Bobby and Terry Winton, Scott Coale, Lisa McClintock, Tiffany Diller, Jill Hamilton and Courtney Darnold; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; one infant son, Bradley Kent Darnold; and one brother David Bradley.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2004, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, with Dr. William Cox officiating. Interment will follow in Moore Cemetery in Nevada. Friends may call from now and until the time of service at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada.

The family suggests that memorials may be made to the Nevada First Christian Church in care of Ferry Funeral Home; 301. S. Washington, Nevada, MO 64772.

Deaths

Cheryl Wade

Cheryl Wade, 48, Nevada, died Aug. 13, 2004, at Moore-Few Care Center. She was born on Oct. 17, 1955, in San Diego, Calif., the daughter of Edward J. and Orletha M. Sauscer Dalsing. On Dec. 23, 1991, she married Alan R. Wade in Gladston, Mo.

She was employed as a cosmetologist until illness forced her retirement. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Nevada.

She is survived by her husband, Alan R. Wade, of the home; four sons, Stephen, Patrick, Joshua and Michael Stobough, all of Kansas City, Mo.; two step-daughters, Vanessa and Tamara Wade, Kansas City, Mo.; mother, Orletha Dalsing, Kansas City, Mo.; sister, Lorie Dalsing, Kansas City, Mo. She was preceded in death by her father, Edward J. Dalsing.

No services are planned at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of Evergreen Memorial Chapel.

Edna Mae Wingate

Edna Mae Wingate, 92, died Aug. 14, 2004. Services were held on Tuesday, Aug. 17, at 10 a.m., at Heuser Funeral Home with Bill Perkey officiating. Pallbearers were Randy Buhr, Michael Whittington, Doug Wingate, Rowdy Whittington, Daniel Gray, Joshua Gray, Danny White, Jimmy Sebree and Brad Shull. Interment was in Balltown Cemetery in Horton. Arrangements were by Heuser Funeral Home in Rich Hill.
