Graf Zeppelin came within 35 miles of Nevada this morning.
About 1,000 feet high and traveling at a rate of 70 miles an hour the Graf Zeppelin was sighted ten miles north of here at 1:45 p.m., central standard time.
Dr. Hugo Eckener, commander of the giant dirigible, was apparently laying his course directly up the Mississippi river for Davenport, Iowa.
After a night spent bucking strong headwinds over Texas and Oklahoma, the Graf Zeppelin gained speed today on its transcontinental flight as it ran into excellent flying conditions over Kansas and Missouri.

Moundville man is burned in tractor mishap
Harold James, Moundville service station operator, was admitted to the Nevada Hospital at 5 p.m. yesterday suffering from burns incurred in a tractor mishap near Moundville.
While using the power take-off on a tractor to operate a feedmill, James noticed that the engine was heating up and loosened the radiator cap.
As he loosened the cap, it blew off and James was scalded by escaping steam, receiving first and second degree burns on his face, neck, chest and both arms, although the burns were not extensive.
