Savannah Mary-Katherine West

Larry and Stephanie West, Butler, are proud to announce the birth of their daughter, Savannah Mary-Katherine West. Savannah was born at 4:01 p.m., on Oct. 5, 2004, at Nevada Regional Medical Center. She weighed 8 pounds, 7 ounces, and measured 21 inches. She joins two brothers Da Kotah West and Kolbi West. Paternal grandparent is Larry West Sr., Butler. Paternal great-grandparent is Ruth West, Butler. Maternal grandparent is Paul Rogers, Butler.

Rylin Danielle McKinney

Ashley McKinney, Nevada, is proud to announce the birth of her daughter, Rylin Danielle McKinney. Rylin was born at 4:21 p.m., on Oct. 4, 2004, at Nevada Regional Medical Center. She weighed 7 pounds, 15 ounces, and measured 18.5 inches. She joins siblings Gage Rinnee and Davisey Arianna. Maternal grandparents are Joe and Trudy Daugherty, Nevada, and Mark and Jane McKinney.

Kaydenn Alexandria Pogue

Lacy and Eddie Pogue, Nevada, are proud to announce the birth of their daughter, Kaydenn Alexandria Pogue. Kayden was born at 8:59 p.m., on Sept. 30, 2004, at Nevada Regional Medical Center. She weighed 7 pounds, 7 ounces, and measured 19.75 ounces. She joins a sister Ashley Hewitt.

Deaths

Robert "Bill" Merchant

Robert "Bill" Merchant, 89, Rich Hill, died Oct. 5, 2004, at the Bates County Memorial Hospital in Butler. He is survived by numerous cousins.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Oct. 8, 2004, at 2 p.m., at the Heuser Funeral Home in Rich Hill. Burial will be in the Greenlawn Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Kern Senior Center in care of the funeral home. Arrangements were by Heuser Funeral Home.

Mildred Garrett

Mildred Garrett died Aug. 30, due to complications from a broken hip. She worked at the Nelly Don plant until her retirement and later moved to the Philippines to be with her son, Larry, and her grandchildren.
