Calvary closes regular season with home win

Calvary Christian School's lone senior volleyball player, Brenda Hyder, bumps the ball during the Lady Eagles' match Monday. It was Senior Night and Hyder was honored before the match with a plaque. The senior also led the team with 14 points as CCS finished their regular season with a 25-19, 20-25 and 25-8 win over Plaza Heights Christian at the Nevada YMCA.

The win improved Calvary's record to 10-10 this season heading into the Missouri Christian Schools Athletic Association state tournament in Joplin beginning Thursday.

Calvary had also split matches Friday, losing to Abilene Christian 25-18 and 26-24, before bouncing back to defeat Shawnee Mission 27-29, 25-19 and 32-30.
