Skylur Emil Mashek

Steve Mashek, Richards, and Jodee Ireland, Nevada, are proud to announce the birth of their son Skylur Emil Mashek. Skylur was born at 6:55 p.m., on Oct. 25, 2004, at Nevada Regional Medical Center. He weighed 8 pounds, 12 ounces, and measured 21 inches. He joins two siblings, Victoria and Johnathan Ireland. Paternal grandparents are Emil and Carmen Mashek, Richards. Maternal grandparents are Wm. A and Vicki Turner, Nevada. Maternal great-grandparents are Vic and Jo Ferraro, Nevada.

Feby Anne Jenkins

Brianna Jenkins, Nevada, is proud to announce the birth of her daughter, Feby Anne Jenkins. Feby was born at 12:55 p.m., on Oct. 15, 2004, at Nevada Regional Medical Center. She weighed 7 pounds, and 2 ounces. Maternal grandparents are Judy Jenkins and Kevin Frame, and Mike and Amber Jenkins, all of Nevada. Maternal great-grandparents are Olive Anne Shafer, Nevada, and the late Roy Shafer, and Raymond and Shirley Jenkins, Nevada. Aunts and uncles are Devon Jenkins and Jerry Murray, Bronston, Ky., Kayla Jenkins, Nevada, and Jaycee and Callee Jenkins, Nevada. Cousin is Kelcie Jenkins, Bronston, Ky.

Obituaries

Teresa Lea Banes

Teresa Lea Banes, 45, Sheldon, died Oct. 25, 2004, at her home in Sheldon. She was born Jan. 24, 1959, in Nevada, to Charles Eugene Banes and Shirley Lea Walker Banes.

Teresa grew up in Vernon County. She graduated from Bronaugh High School in 1977. She attended Evangel College in Springfield. She worked at Miller Electric in Appleton, Wisc., as secretary for 10 years. She was a substitute teacher in the Lamar School District where she worked with handicapped students. She was formerly a waitress at Country Kitchen in Nevada and was currently working at Denny's Restaurant in Lamar.

Survivors include two daughters, Rashell Kimberly Fraley, Lamar, and Kayla Rose Fraley, Cold Spring, Minn.; one son, Reginald Charles Cecil Fraley, Cold Spring, Minn.; parents, Gene and Shirley Banes, Sheldon; one brother, Mike Banes and his wife, Kathy, Sheldon; one sister, Sue Rohrs and her husband, Randy, Harrisonville; nieces and nephews, Phil, Brent, Kyle and Genea; and several aunts and uncles.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 29, 2004, at the First Assembly of God Church, Nevada, with Ken Fomicola and John Nichols officiating. Interment will follow at Sheldon Cemetery, Sheldon. The family receives friends 7-8 p.m. Thursday at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada. Friends may call now and until 9 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Thompson Jay Bound

Thompson Jay Bound, 57, died Oct. 25, 2004. Services were held at Ferry Funeral Home on Oct. 28, at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Greg Ferree officiating. Musical selections were "Amazing Grace" and "Will the Circle be Unbroken." Arrangements were by Ferry Funeral Home.
