Dairy industry is on the increase

Frank J. Hines, popular district field man for the Kraft-Phenix Cheese Company, is being returned to Nevada where he has been made resident manager for the purpose of putting over, in a still bigger way, the local cheese factory. This is excellent news to local people who know what a big dairy development means and Mr. Hines states that his appointment here is the expression of his company of its absolute confidence in our people which has been evidenced by them through the chamber of commerce.

Thanksgiving was a quiet day

Vernon County and Nevada were among the few communities in the country in which law enforcement officers were not kept busy investigating accidents and over-celebration on Thanksgiving Day.

No highway accidents were received by either Sheriff Les Hunt or the State Highway Patrol, nor were any accidents reported inside the Nevada city limits.

Also, in contrast to the normal weekend, no arrests were made by Nevada police on the Thanksgiving holiday.
