Legleiter, Neil exchange wedding vows

Alicia Ann Legleiter of Nevada and Brett David Neil of DeKalb, Mo. were married Oct. 16, 2004, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Nevada, Mo. The Rev. Kim Osborn solemnized the vows of the double-ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Belvin and Ardis Legleiter of Nevada and the bridegroom is the son of David and Peggy Neil of Marshfield, Mo.

The altar was decorated with fall flowers. Candelabras and a unity candle completed the setting.

Given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a satin halter-top gown accented with beadwork. The back of the gown was embellished with beaded straps and a long train. She wore a tiara with an elbow-length veil edged in satin. Her bouquet was a cascade of burgundy lilies, yellow Viking poms, hot pink roses, burgundy and orange pixie carnations with purple statice.

Amanda Moore, friend of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Mendy Legleiter and Sally Legleiter, sisters-in-law of the bride. They wore wine colored dresses and carried nosegay bouquets similar to the bride's bouquet.

The best man was Brandon Neil, brother of the groom. Other groomsmen were Rodney Legleiter, brother of the bride, and Jeff Cass, friend of the groom.

Ushers were Leon Legleiter and Travis Legleiter, brothers of the bride.

The guestbook attendant was Laura McVicker, cousin of the bride. The flower girl was Kara Legleiter, niece of the bride. The ringbearer was Gunnar Ellingsworth, cousin of the groom. Soloist was Sasha Rahn, cousin of the groom. The musician was Sarah Lathrop.

The bride's mother wore a wine dress with matching jacket. The groom's mother wore a long- sleeved wine dress.

The reception was held at BIL Lodge in Nevada. The tables were decorated with candles and fall leaves. The four-tiered wedding cake baked by the bride's mother was decorated with burgundy lilies, yellow Viking poms and burgundy carnations. It was surrounded by votives set on small mirrors.

The bride graduated with a bachelor's degree in Horticulture in 2003 from Southwest Missouri State University. She is employed by Old Mill Nursery in St. Joseph, Mo.

The bridegroom graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Education in 2003 from Southwest Missouri State University. He is employed by Buchanan County R-4 School District in DeKalb, Mo.

The couple reside in Rushville, Mo.
