Myra Belle Stevener, 87, Rich Hill, died Jan. 20, 2005. She was born on Sept. 4, 1917, in Swan, Mo., the daughter of Ira and Ella (Johnson) Gibson. She married Raymond Albert Stevener on Sept. 30, 1952, in Rich Hill.
She was secretary for the Rich Hill School System for several years, and later became bookkeeper for Fisher Coal Co.
She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond, on Sept. 29, 1990; her parents; and two brothers, Newton and Lanner Gibson. She is survived by two sons, Darrell Stevener and Philip Stevener; one brother, Irvin Gibson; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren, all of Rich Hill.
Services were held at Greenlawn Cemetery on Sunday, Jan. 23, at 4 p.m., with Bill Perkey officiating. Pallbearers were Jerry Williams, Mike Black, Brady Wheatley, Darrell Harris, Lester Gibson, Charles Gibson, Josh Sullins and Scott West. Interment was in Greenlawn Cemetery in Rich Hill. Arrangements were by Heuser Funeral Home.
