Shon Earl Bogart, 34, Sheldon, died Wednesday, March 16, 2005, at Freeman Health System West, Joplin, following a farm accident. He was born Sept. 7, 1970, in El Dorado Springs, to Ralph Earl Bogart and Sally Ann Phillips Bogart.

Shon was born and raised in this area and has spent his entire life here. He graduated from Bronaugh High School in 1988. He has made his living as a union carpenter, and a retail sales business owner. He belonged to the Masonic Lodge No. 371, Sheldon, and was past and present master of that lodge. He was also a member of the Barton County Shrine Club, Fort Scott Scottish Rite, and of the Knights of St. Andrew, Fort Scott, Kan.

Survivors include his fiancée, Toni Parsons, Sheldon, and her children, Joshua Belcher and his wife, Summer, and their child, Buddy, all of Webb City, Mo., Ryan Belcher, Pittsburg, Kan., and Trisha Belcher, Webb City, Mo.; his parents, Ralph and Sally Bogart, Sheldon; one brother, Bo Bogart, Sheldon; three nephews; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Joseph and Alma Phillips.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 19, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, with Bob Hart officiating. Interment will follow in Sheldon Cemetery, Sheldon. Masonic rites will be held at 6:30 p.m., tonight, March 18, at the funeral home and the family will receive friends until 8 p.m.
