Michelle Gast's eighth grade exploring agriculture class works to install landscaping along the front walk of the Nevada Middle School. The class chooses a project every semester. This time, the class chose the landscaping project, in part, because of recent warm, sunny weather. The project will also eventually extend to the north side and the area around the sign in front of the school. A grant was used to purchase the plants and stones, in addition to two cases of tulips. Chris Hendron, of Works of Dirt, donated the services of his backhoe and skid-steer for leveling the area. Greg Dahmer donated the mulch.
