The Nevada Tigers tennis team was in Harrisonville for a tournament Saturday and they excelled in doubles play.

The doubles team of Adam Gullett and Ethan Fast won all three of their matches to place first in the tournament, while the other Nevada doubles team of Ryan Kimbrough and Ed Horst took third.

Gullet and Fast took care of one of Clinton's doubles teams in the first round, 8-3. Meanwhile in another first-round match Kimbrough and Horst beat a team from Harrisonville 8-5.

That put two Nevada teams in the semifinals.

Gullett and Fast won 8-2 over a different Harrisonville team to advance to the tournament championship while Kimbrough and Horst lost in the semifinals to Clinton's top doubles team 8-5.

In the championship, Gullett and Fast beat the same team from Clinton that topped Kimbrough and Horst, to take the top spot.

Kimbrough and Horst won the consolation match to take third.

In singles Justdan Lockwood won his first match but lost the next two, while Taylor Hall went 0-2 at the tournament.
