Defending champ wins first of the year

Kevin Morrow, of Nevada, was the 2004 champion in the Modified division at the Nevada Speedway. Morrow won his first race of the new season on April 23. Other winners from that day include Mike Boultinghouse, El Dorado Springs, in the Late Model; Jerry Morgan, Fort Scott, Kan., in the Street Stock; Ken Layman, Webb City, in the Factory Stock; Brent Knight, Jasper, in the Mini-Stock. The races are held Saturday nights at Nevada Speedway.
