Time is ripe for Farmer's Market
Wednesday, May 11, 2005
The Nevada Farmers Market had planned to open for the summer on May 25; however, Sherry Baker said that some of the local growers wanted to open the market now, since they had produce that was ready for market now and could not wait two more weeks. Baker said that starting this week, the Farmers Market would be open at the Pine Street Baptist Church's parking lot at the corner of Osage Boulevard and Locust Street on Monday and Wednesday afternoons from 4 p.m. and on Saturday's from 9 a.m. Above are Richard and Betty Secrest, who had some asparagus along with baked goods, wooden clocks and flowers.
