The El Dorado Springs storm injured much property

The following additional news regarding the El Dorado Springs storm was sent this morning by the El Dorado Springs News:

The damage to property in city, principally from broken glasses, is estimated at between $2,000 and $3,000; but it does not fall very heavily upon any one individual, with nearly every property owner getting a share of it.

The destruction of window glass will amount to a large sum. At the First Baptist the windows on the south side are said to be broken, with about the same results at the First Presbyterian, Methodist and new Christian and other buildings. At the court house, the large windows facing the storm were broken.

Beautiful site named Camp Galilee

More than 1,000 people were in attendance at the dedication ceremonies of the Methodist Camp at El Dorado Springs Saturday afternoon.

Bishop Ivan Lee Holt, St. Louis, presided at the dedication ceremonies which were highlighted by the spreading of earth from the Holy Land at the site and the pouring of water from the River Jordan into the lake at the camp.

Bishop Holt, in his brief presentation speech, designated the camp to be known as "Camp Galilee."
