Lumber fight at El Dorado Springs

El Dorado Springs is having a lumber war, which is taking trade to that point and causing much comment in the papers of that town. According to the statements being published, an independent company is carrying one side of the fight against trust yards. The result is a big cut in the price of lumber and building materials. The Sun says that by this holy war on high prices, cedar shingles were reduced from $3.25 per thousand to $2.40; 2-by-4 dimension material from $2.15 per hundred to $1.50; plaster cement from 60 to 40 cents a sack, and the difference on the price of doors, windows and other material is even greater.
