Southwest Missouri regiment reaches camp in fine fettle

With the arrival of the 203rd regiment at 3:30 yesterday afternoon, the encampment at Camp Clark began in earnest. Six hundred guardsmen from Southwest Missouri are in training at Camp Clark for the first time since 1922.

The convoy, which includes 70 motor vehicles, made the trip without incident. A remarkable record in view of the fact that most of the army trucks are of the vintage of 1917 and saw hard service in France during the World War.

There's good reading in the Herald

This Sunday, just like every other Sunday in the year, The Nevada Herald will be filled with good reading for Vernon County area residents.

Local features, columns and news stories with pictures, in addition to comics and the television schedule for the week are but a few of the reasons why more and more people are joining the growing Daily Mail and Herald families.

Now is a good time for you to get in step by subscribing to these two prize winning newspapers.
