Jordan Lee Snyder, 18, died Saturday, Nov. 5, 2005, at the St. John's Regional Medical Center in Joplin, Mo., due to a truck accident on Oct 30, 2005. He was born on Feb. 23, 1987, the son of Kenny and Beth Snyder of Fulton, Kan.

Jordan graduated from Fort Scott high school in May of 2005. He was a member of the Fort Scott FFA. Chapter, Northeast Scott 4-H club, Timber Run racing of Sheldon, Mo. and Pennis Racing of Fort Scott. His motto was work hard, play hard and have fun. He worked on the family farm all his life, and was also employed by Brian Thurston- X-Treme Construction Company.

Survivors include his parents and a brother; Jared Snyder all of the home, paternal grandparents; Kenneth and Earlene Snyder of Fulton, maternal grandfather; Lester Sinn of Fort Scott, aunts and uncles; Tom Snyder of Mound City, Kan., Robert and Linda Minor of Fulton, Gina Snyder of Fort Scott, Terry and Janet Grote of Wichita, Kan., Roger and Carolyn Welch of Bronson, Kan., Bill and Lisa King of Springdale, Ark., Steve and Brenda Hill of Fort Scott and Jason and Julie Sinn of Fort Scott, and many cousins and friends.

The Rev. Dusty Drake will conduct funeral services for Jordan Snyder at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 9, at the Community Christian Church in Fort Scott. Burial will be in the Mapleton Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7- 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 8, at the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home. The family suggests contributions to the Jordan Snyder memorial, and will be divided among the FFA and 4-H. Donations may be sent to or left in the care of the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home, 15 W.
