Denzial Legan passed to her Lord on the evening of Sunday, Nov. 6, 2005, at Christian Health Care, Nevada.

Denzial Coreen Gordon was born Oct. 26, 1911, at Stockton, Mo., to Charles B. and Myrtle Hill Gordon. She married Otto C. Legan on Aug. 4, 1944, in Kansas City, Mo. Otto preceded her in death on Jan. 24, 1973.

Denzial was a graduate of Stockton High School and received a scholarship to Southwest Missouri State, where she received a teaching degree. She established The Nevada Implement Co. with her brother, Paul Gordon, She continued to operate the company until 1954, when she joined her husband in opening Legan Hardware on the city Square in Nevada. She continued the hardware business until 1975, when she retired.

Denzial was a long-time member of the the First Presbyterian Church, Nevada, serving in several capacities, including treasurer, as a member of the board of elders and on the building committee when the church was built. She was active in E.P.W. Circle and the Keystone Fellowship. Denzial served in several city organizations, she was a charter member and first treasurer of The Soroptirnist Club, and served as a member and officer of Athena's, and Nevada Business and Professional Women's Club. She also served on the Nevada City Hospital Board. Following retirement, she traveled extensively throughout the United States and also in Europe, with her daughter, Dana, and son-in-law, Ben Kehr.

Survivors include her daughter, Dana C. Kehr, Boise, Idaho; several nieces and nephews, Gail Williams and family of Stockton, Judy Gordon, Owatonna, Minn., Boyd Gordon, Colo., Mark Gordon, Griffin, Ga., Kelly Gray, Nevada, Karen Pippins, Dexter, Mo., and her sister-in-law, Hazel Gordon, Nevada.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., on Thursday, Nov. 10, at the First Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Greg Ferree officiating. Interment will follow in Newton Burial Park, Nevada. Friends may call now and until 9 a.m., Thursday, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada.
