JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. --The Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry honored Rep. Barney Fisher, R-District 125, with a new award designed to honor lawmakers who have shown unwavering support of pro-jobs legislation -- the 100 percent For Jobs award.

For decades, the Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry has measured Missouri lawmaker's support of pro-jobs legislation through a rating system of key legislative votes for that particular session. Legislators who receive a 70 percent or higher rating are considered strong supporters of pro-jobs agenda.

"That's what makes this award so significant," said Daniel P. Mehan, Missouri Chamber president and CEO. "Lawmakers who make it into the 100 percent category are invaluable to our legislative efforts and deserve to be recognized for their consistent, unwavering support of Missouri business and their pro-jobs stance and support, and Rep. Fisher exemplifies this award."

This award will be presented each legislative session to lawmakers who earn a 100 percent rating with the Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry, www.mochamber.com, was founded in 1923 and is the largest business organization in Missouri, representing almost 3,000 employers providing more than 425,000 jobs for Missourians.

The Missouri Chamber's mission is to preserve and advance a positive business climate in the state.
