The couple met on a blind date and were high school sweethearts. They married when Ron was 19 and Nancy was 17. They resided in Joplin until 1969 when they moved to Nevada. They have resided in Nevada ever since. The McGlochiens have three daughters, Mickey Oetken of Plattsmouth, Neb., and Tammey Ward and Gay Yasuhara of Nevada. In honor of the couple's 50th wedding anniversary, their children and family are hosting an open house reception and would welcome all who know them.
