Wildcats, Panthers split in Bronaugh

The Bronaugh Wildcats beat the Sheldon Panthers in boys basketball Tuesday, 40-30.
Ryan Brooks had 12 points and Josh Modlin added 11 for the Wildcats, as they pulled away from the Panthers after a 19-17 halftime lead.
Cody Claflin, Casey Kalleck and Andrew Leavell each scored six to lead Sheldon.
Bronaugh improved to 2-1 with the win.
In the girls game it took overtime but the Lady Panthers came away with a 47-44 victory.
Kelsey Hancock led the Lady Panthers with 18 points, seven coming in the overtime period.
Ashley Danner added 12 points and Jerri Moore scored 10 in the winning cause.
Bronaugh was led by Stormi Wilson, who had 18 points of her own.
