Collins-Spencer

Bobby Joe Collins announces the engagement and approaching marriage of his daughter, Marissa Nichole, to Cpl. Kristopher David Spencer, son of Margaret and the late David Spencer. The couple welcomes the presence of family and friends as they begin their lives together at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 30, at the Community of Christ Church, 1623 S. Eddy St., Fort Scott. A reception will follow at the 4-H Building, 2109 S. Horton St., Fort Scott.

The prospective groom is a 2000 graduate of Fort Scott High School and is currently serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. He is stationed at Edison Range, Camp Pendleton, Calif. He is the grandson of Alene Feagins, Fort Scott, Bill and Norma Feagins, Pittsburg, Kan., and the late J.W. and Rachael Spencer.

The bride-elect is a 2005 graduate of Fort Scott High School. She is the granddaughter of Jack and the late Joan Collins, Fort Scott, and great-granddaughter of Mallie Collins, Pasadena, Texas.

Following their marriage, the couple will reside in Vista, Calif.
