William Dennis "W.D." Butler

William Dennis "W.D." Butler, Joplin, Mo., died Thursday, Dec. 22, 2005, at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin following a lengthy illness. He was born Jan. 26, 1941, in Wheatland, Mo., to William Harvey Butler and Vada Faye Weaver. He married Vivian Lucille Miller on June 10, 2005, and she survives of the home.

W.D. was a truck driver. He worked many years as a concrete finisher and driver in the Nevada and Joplin area.

Survivors in addition to his wife, Lucille, include two daughters, Sherrie Daniels and her husband, Paul, Moundville, Mo., Cindy Irwin and her husband, David, Nevada; four grandchildren, Brittney and Allie Irwin, and Spenser and Audrey Daniels, stepchildren, step-grandchildren; one brother, Kenneth N. Butler Sr. and his wife, Betty, Nevada; one sister, Velma Doris Betts, Springville, Calif.; also nephews and one niece.

Committal services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 28, at Moore Cemetery, Nevada, with Mark Mitchell officiating. Friends may call now and until 10:30 a.m, Wednesday at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada.

Memorials may be given to the American Lung Association in care of Ferry Funeral Home.
