A fire in a Nevada home that caused an estimated $2,500 in damage to the home's interior was apparently caused by heat radiating from a wood-burning fireplace.

According to information released by the Nevada Fire Department, firefighters responded to a report of a structure fire at 308 E. Douglas, just before 12:30 a.m. When they arrived on the scene, the fire was found to be located at the back of the residence. Firefighters went inside and extinguished the blaze, which did not spread to other areas of the home.

No injuries were reported.
