Ag producers who need to obtain or renew a private pesticide applicator license can do so by attending one of several upcoming training sessions provided through the University of Missouri Extension. Vernon County University of Missouri Extension Agronomy Specialist Pat Miller explained in a press release that, due to a change in the rules, renewals will no longer be able to be completed by picking up the booklet and completing the worksheet from the Extension Center.

Producers will need to attend one of the training classes to recertify, Miller said.

This class also completes the EPA worker protection training program for Agricultural employees who handle pesticides. University of Missouri Extension programs are open to everyone. Classes will last about 1.5 hours.
