Myrl Church, 88, Springfield, Mo., formerly of Nevada, died Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2006, at Manor Health Care, Springfield, following an illness of several months. He was born April 24, 1917, in Stockton, Mo., to Jack Church and Lillian Cassell Church. He married Frances Windler on April 17, 1947, in Nevada, Mo. She preceded him in death in 1987.

Myrl was born and reared near Stockton, and graduated from Stockton High School. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in Australia. Following the service, he returned to Nevada and operated M & M Motor Supply until his retirement in 1990. He was a member of the First Christian Church and the Nevada Elks Lodge.

Survivors include one daughter, JoAnn Conrad, Springfield; one grandson, Bryan Conrad, Norman, Okla.; two brothers, Alden Church, Fort Meyers, Fla., and Ken Church, Myrtle Beach, S.C.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., on Friday, Jan. 27, at the First Christian Church in Nevada, with pastor Bill Platt officiating. Interment will follow in Newton Burial Park. Friends may call now and until the hour of service and the family receives friends 6-7 p.m., Thursday at Ferry Funeral. Home, Nevada.

Memorials may be given to the Frances W. Church Scholarship Fund in care of the First Christian Church, Nevada.
