Cathleen A. Deaton, 39, Nevada, Mo., passed away Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2006, at Nevada Regional Medical Center. She was born June 29, 1966, in Artesia, Calif., to Jackie Marshall Deaton and Linda Marie Henning Deaton.
Cathleen lived in Mississippi, Oklahoma, and Texas. She came to Nevada in 1997, from San Antonio, Texas. She worked as a cook at Camp Clark including Sho-Me Challenge and for Camp Crowder in Neosho, Mo.
Survivors include her mother, Linda Grate, Nevada; one daughter, Chantel Deaton, of the home; one son, Andrew Stanford, of the home; two sisters, Cynthia Deaton, Paris, Calif., and Judith Ann Chestnut, state of Tennessee; one brother, Ralph Thoran, Whittier, Calif.; maternal grandparents, James and Theo Henning, Whittier; two half-sisters, Lisa of Poteau, Okla., and Shelly Deaton, state of North Carolina. She was preceded in death by her father.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m., on Tuesday, Feb. 7, at Ferry funeral Home, Nevada. Friends may call now and until the hour of service at the funeral home.
