Wireless telegraphy to be available
Contracts have been closed and Nevada will soon have a wireless telegraph station installed and in operation. Prof. W.B. Patty of Chicago, is to bring a elaborate outfit and set it up at the Christian Church, where radium and liquid air will also be exhibited, and dozens of wonderful experiments be performed on next Thursday night. Prof. Patty may not succeed in getting into communication with King Edward or President Roosevelt, but he will send wireless messages across the hall, he will ring bells, start and stop a motor, turn on or off electric lights, and perform many interesting and instructive feats, besides fully explaining this up-to date subject which is attracting attention the world over, and already doing so much practical worth.

Mrs. White and her hats will be talk of the month feature
Mrs. Lloyd White, whose famous hat collection includes 307 items, will be the guest speaker at the Talk of the Month Club, Thursday evening at 7 o'clock a the Mitchell Hotel.
Mrs. White presents hats from her collection, ranging in vintage from 1892 to 1955. Each had a name and around theses she weaves the "sugar-coated sermon," as she calls it, interpreting human foibles in whimsical term of gentle satire.
A prim little tan straw bonnet, of 1892 is called "Emily Post" and is the springboard for a homily on the proper, but often dull, women who always mind their manners. Lively comment on the gossipy women whose favorite phase is "A little bird told me" follows the modeling of the elaborate 1900 style. An ornate creation of brown and cream velvet, it has a real pheasant spreading its feathers over the crown, is titled the "Gossip."
White majored in psychology at Butler University in Indianapolis.
