Deputies search for escapee, possible accomplice

Tuesday, March 7, 2006

Vernon County Sheriff's deputies are looking for Dustin D. Kellogg, 22, Belton, who escaped from the New Beginnings unit on the third floor of Nevada Regional Medical Center, Saturday, at approximately 7:30 p.m.

Kellogg is described as a white male, 6-feet, 1-inch tall, 170 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes.

Officers are also looking for Cybil Myers, who may have been involved in helping Kellogg escape. Myers has an early 1990s-model gold-colored Buick.

Originally officers were looking for a Mercury Sable but Vernon County Sheriff Ron Peckman said further information indicated the car is a Buick.

"We were first told it was a Mercury but we found out it really was a Buick," Peckman said.

Peckman also said Kellogg was in Greene County at one time.

"We developed information from Greene County that Kellogg was there at one time but they missed him," Peckman said.

Kellogg was being held on failure to appear on charges of possession of controlled substances and paraphernalia.
