Dr. Todd taken to the state prison
JEFFERSON CITY, -- Former Representative Dr. Joseph Todd, of Vernon County, gave himself up to Marshal Fink, of the supreme court, Tuesday morning, and was immediately taken to prison for the murder of Robert T. Wall, which took place in Richards, a small town in Vernon County.
When Division No. 2 of the supreme court met yesterday morning, Dr. Todd walked into the office of Major Fink and said he was ready to begin his sentence. Mayor Fink telephoned Warden Hall, who went after Dr. Todd and Major Fink in the prison carriage.
Dr. Todd was taken at once to the penitentiary, where he was dressed in prison garb and began serving his sentence.
Dr. Todd is well known throughout the state. He served one term in the Missouri legislature from Vernon County.

Pre-school clinic at Bryan School today
Eight pre-school children were examined and inoculated at Bryan School this morning. Children who are now in kindergarten at Franklin or Benton schools were scheduled to be processed at those schools even though they will enroll at Bryan next fall.
Dr. Clovis Smith and Dr. James J. Pascoe were assisted by nurses Mrs. Paul Barone and Mrs. Chester Rowton this morning.
Tomorrow morning at 8:30 a.m., pre-school children will be examined at the Benton School. Dr. Stadlee Love, Dr. W.H. Allen and Dr. W.E. Hoffman will be the physicians and dentist in charge, with Mrs. R.B. Wray, Mrs. R.C. Morris, Mrs. Paul Barone and Mrs. Rowton as nurses.
