Anna A. Zaring

Anna A. Zaring, 93, of Nevada, died on Tuesday, March 21, 2006, at the Barone Alzeheimer's Care Center in Nevada. She was born on June 20, 1912, in Harwood, Mo., to Amos Whitley and Lavilla V. Barbour Whitley. She was married on Oct. 16, 1931, in Nevada to Joe Zaring and he preceded her in death in 1993.

Anna grew up and went to school in the Harwood area and worked at the Nevada State Hospital as an aid for many years until her retirement. She lived in Vernon County all of her life. She was member of the First Christian Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Roberta Wagner of Nevada; one son, Ron Zaring of Houston, Texas; eight grandchildren, Jim Hardin, Nevada, Jerry Hardin, Seattle, Wash., Bill Hardin, Nevada, John Hardin, Clever, Mo., Jana Hardin, Anchorage, Alaska, Michelle Bailey, Henderson, Nev., Kelli McDuff, Pasadena, Texas, and Devin Zaring, Houston, Texas; 23 great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Joe, she was preceded in death by a brother, Joe Whitley and a sister, Ruby Hutchison.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, March 24, at the Mount Vernon Cemetery near Walker, Mo. Friends may call until the hour of service at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, and the family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m., on Thursday at the funeral home.
