Palmer arrested in forgery caper

Sheriff Morrow, of Carthage, arrived here last night and placed Millard Palmer under arrest and took him to Carthage. Palmer is alleged to have committed forgery by cashing a forged Missouri Pacific time check, the amount of which was $78.

The check was cashed by the Missouri Pacific station agent.

At the time of the arrest of Pepper, Nelson and Garvey in this city recently it was reported that other arrests would be made, it being alleged that Nevada young men were implicated.

Millard Palmer is a well-known young man of this city who is of a splendid family and who has borne a good reputation. It is hoped he will be able to clear himself of this charge. He will be able to give bond and no doubt will be released until the day set for his trial.

Many prizes will be given to registrants

The all-new, modern, spacious Goodyear Service Store at 209 North Main, will hold its official Grand Opening celebration this Friday and Saturday, March 30 and 31.

After almost 10 years at its former location on the west side of the Nevada Square, an increase in business and the need for larger display and service areas as well as a need for convenient customer parking dictated a move to the present location.
