Sean Smith, director of the Nevada Regional Technical Center, said a house being built by the Construction Technology class is nearing completion. . The home has a main level with 2,072 square feet of space, a second floor room of 372 feet and a full basement.

The interior includes hardwood floors in several rooms, carpeting in many rooms and ceramic tile in the bathroom and laundry room. There are hickory cabinets, Corian countertops, a gas fireplace and a Jacuzzi tub. Solid oak doors and trim finish the interior. The exterior has concrete siding and maintenance-free double paned windows. At the end of a presentation about the project to the Nevada R-5 Board of Education, Smith said the home would be "really nice." Board member Chris Ellis asked Smith, "Would you say it was a luxurious executive home with all of the amenities?" "It will be really, really, really nice," Smith replied.
