Kenneth Lyle Gillmore
Kenneth Lyle Gillmore, age 66, a resident of Nevada, Mo., died Saturday, July 1, 2006, at the Nevada Regional Medical Center.
He was born Sept. 4, 1939, in Fayette County, Illinois, the son of Raymond H. Gillmore and Ruby Irene Turney Gillmore. He enjoyed traveling and genealogical research.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Adrianna Alexander-Gillmore, of the home; a son, John Gillmore and wife Carolyn, Fort Scott; a daughter, Kathy Dancer and husband Tracy, Fort Scott; a sister, Betty Lowe, Illinois; and four grandchildren, Kayla, Jacob, Andrew, and Katelyn.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Paul, Earl, and Jerry Gillmore; sister, Marjorie Eversole; and grandson, Finley Kenneth Dancer.
The family will receive friends for visitation from 7 to 8 p.m., Friday, July 7, at the Cheney Witt Chapel. Following visitation, there will be cremation.
A private family burial will take place later in the U.S. National Cemetery, Fort Scott, Kan. Memorial contributions are suggested to a Kenneth Gillmore Memorial Fund which will go to a charity of the family's choice.
