Kevin was an avid NASCAR fan especially of "The Man" Mark Martin, who he saw win during the first NASCAR race Kevin had ever attended, and Davey Allison, for whom Allison was named. He was also a Kansas City Chiefs fan. Kevin also loved to fish and boat. He had really enjoyed changing from a city boy to a country boy when he moved from Independence to Nevada. But most of all, Kevin's family and friends meant the world to him. He was a very loyal, faithful man who will be greatly missed.
In addition to Kristy, Kevin is survived by his daughters, Aubrey Housh and husband Jerron of Diamond, Mo., Allison and Kaitlyn of the home; son, Kristopher of the home; grandsons, Colby and Chase Housh of Diamond; brothers, Jan Wysong and wife Judy of Modesto, Calif., and Bill King and wife Julie of Independence, Mo.; and numerous other relatives and friends. He is also survived by his playful golden retriever, Nugget.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 22, at Evergreen Memorial Chapel in Nevada. Burial will be in Newton Burial Park.
Pallbearers will be Jerron Housh, Bill King, Ethan King, James Pennington, Scott Borghardt and Matt Harper. Honorary pallbearers will be Jan Wysong, Joseph W. Pennington, Joseph L. Pennington and Scott Pennington.
