Christine Ahrenholtz and Tony Bowen, both of Aliso Viejo, Calif., announce their engagement to marry on Oct. 20, 2006, in Los Cabos, Mexico.

Parents of the couple are Judie Ahrenholtz and the late Dave Ahrenholtz of Harlan, Iowa, and Bob and Arlene Bowen of Nevada.

The bride-elect graduated from Cottey College with an associate's degree and Columbia College with a Bachelor of Science in Business. She is currently an operations manager for TEKsystems in Newport Beach.

The prospective groom, a 1993 graduate of Nevada High School, graduated from the University of Missouri with a Bachelor of Science in Business and is a CFA Charterholder. He is currently a director of finance for Option One Mortgage in Irvine.
