Ruth Irene Butterfield, 93, Nevada, Mo., passed away Thursday, Sept. 14, 2006, at Moore-Few Care Center in Nevada following an illness of several months. She was born Oct. 2, 1922, in Bronaugh, Mo., to Walter Henry Butterfield and Effie May Starke Butterfield.

Ruth was born and reared in Bronaugh and spent virtually her entire life in Vernon County. She graduated from Bronaugh High School. Ruth was a member of the Bronaugh Christian Church.

Survivors include two brothers, Dale Butterfield and Blaine Butterfield, both of Nevada, Mo.; numerous nieces and nephews; and her Moore-Few Care Center family. She was preceded in death by four brothers.

Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m., on Saturday, Sept. 16, at Worsley Cemetery, Bronaugh, with David Rorabaugh officiating. Friends may call now and until 1 p.m., on Saturday, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada.

Memorials may be given to Moore-Few Care Center in care of Ferry Funeral Home.
